China Aerospace's 'Three Days And Two Wars' Success

Jul 09, 2020

My country successfully launched and tested the No. 6 02 star with the Long March No. 2 D carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. On July 3, my country used the Long March 4B carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center to successfully launch a high-resolution multi-mode integrated imaging satellite and the "Xibaipo" youth popular science satellite in a "one arrow, two stars" manner. Within three days, China Aerospace completed two consecutive launches.

News from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration stated that the high-resolution multi-mode integrated imaging satellite successfully launched on July 3 is the highest resolution optical remote sensing satellite in the National Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Civil Space Infrastructure (2015-2025) It can realize the switching of multiple imaging modes, and its on-orbit application will further improve the technical level of China's remote sensing satellites to meet the needs of users in related industries for high-precision remote sensing image data. The 6th 02 star launched on July 5th was mainly used for space environment detection and related technical tests.

The rockets used in these two launches were all developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Eighth Research Institute. As the "General Changsheng" in the Long March Rocket Family of China, Long March 2 Ding has carried out 49 consecutive launch missions since its first successful launch on August 9, 1992, and today’s launch, and has maintained an undefeated record. .

Experts from the Eighth Academy told reporters that although Chang Erding is a mature rocket, the technology team has not stopped the pace of innovation. This time, the technology team reduced the number of single points of Chang Erding's electrical system by 22% through the replacement of redundant products and stand-alone machines, and improved the reliability of the rocket.
