On the afternoon of August 20th, Sansha City, Hainan Province held the inaugural ceremony of the “Sansha No. 2” 8000-ton traffic supply ship at the Qingchang Port of Wenchang. This is the second large passenger roller built after the city of Sansha, and the South China Sea has ushered in another heavy-duty task to undertake transportation and resupply.
"Sansha No. 2" has a total length of 128 meters, a width of 20.4 meters, a draft of 5.7 meters, a total displacement of 8,000 tons, a maximum speed of 22 knots, a cruising range of 6000 nautical miles, a wind resistance rating of 10, 400 passengers, and a navigation area. The far-sea navigation area covers the entire South China Sea. As the second large passenger roller built after Sansha City, “Sansha No. 2” has expanded its work performance on the basis of “Sansha No.1”, and has comprehensive transportation supply, administrative jurisdiction, and military. The “six functions” of land integration, emergency rescue command, emergency medical assistance and scientific research on island reefs are among the construction projects of the national maritime emergency medical rescue base.
In addition, in terms of improving the comfort of riding, "Sansha 2" has been further optimized, including increasing the glass of the room window, increasing the amount of light, broadening the passenger's field of vision, and air conditioning has also been partitioned. It is divided into 9 areas, the size of the ventilation can be controlled separately, and the speed of the ship has been further improved. From Wenchang Qingyi Port to Sansha Yongxing Island, it can be achieved. The ship is also equipped with a mobile communication system, which can cover the entire maritime mobile communication network from Wenchang Qingyu Port to Yongxing Island. As a passenger roller designed for long-distance navigation, the loading capacity of “Sansha 2” is not to be underestimated.
